COURSE HIPPIQUE

Jonathan wanted to capture the energy of the racetracks, a subject that were so often depicted by the Impressionist painters. But rather than static scenes, he focused on the rapid motion and gestures within them and by rendering it as a blurred image, he was able to convey a sense of speed that feels like a swirling vortex.
Like the lingering afterimage of a fleeting moment, this work breathes emotion and excitement into the viewer. The energy that Jonathan carries within himself and the dynamism he seeks to infuse in his work is expressed most vividly in this photograph.
