I went to an island that required a long ferry ride even from Okinawa. After reaching the port I still had to take a car sent from the place I was staying, crossing over the mountaintop, before a small village finally came into view in the distance. Near the accommodation was a little school, and its schoolyard was full of blooming hibiscus.
