In his mini series titled Asphalt Meadows, artist Werner explores the quiet beauty found in everyday urban moments. Through six small-scale paintings, he captures fleeting scenes that might otherwise go unnoticed—fragments of life that reveal emotion, rhythm, and connection within the city’s hard edges.
This particular piece is perhaps the most tender of the series. At its center, a couple stands closely together in the rain, seemingly unaware of their surroundings. Their focus is entirely on one another, suspended in a moment of intimacy that feels both delicate and profound.
