IMPRESSION SOLEIL COUCHANT

This work is Jonathan’s homage to Claude Monet.
Both artists began their artistic journeys in the same city of Le Havre. Monet discovered painting there, while Jonathan studied photography. When Jonathan started his Impressionism series, he visited the seaside of Le Havre, but chose to capture the sunset instead of the sunrise. This is how the two artists engage in a conversation that transcends time.
Though they explore different eras, they share the same emotions. Before nature, where the sun melts away, they share a dialogue about light and stillness.
