In the summer of 2023, Alex Kittoe embarked on an eight-day journey through Iceland. This photograph was taken on the very first day of that trip. While driving a rental car to the famous Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall, he found his eyes drawn not to the waterfall itself, but to a distant village. As he watched, the clouds suddenly parted to reveal a clear blue sky, and a vivid rainbow stretched across the sky, landing gently over the village. It was the kind of view that only reveals itself to those willing to pause and truly look. Though it was completely unplanned, this became his favorite image from that day.
